The Power of Affirmations

The Power of Affirmations

Affirmations are such powerful tools to use in our lives. The power of words are just extraordinary. We are touched by them, moved by them and inspired by them. We can also be crushed by them, scarred by them and emotionally and mentally killed by them.

Affirmations are the use of words in a positive way to help strengthen us. When used effectively, they can support you in manifesting the different aspirations you have in your life.

If there is an area of your life you are challenged in that you want to change, use affirmations to assist you in getting there. You can start by writing them daily, saying them, putting them up on your walls where you can see them several times a day, record yourself saying them and play them back to yourself over and over and over again. Your mind will start to seek out ways to make it come to fruition. If you continue to practice the use of affirmations, over time, you will see a shift in what you are desiring to occur.

The mind and the universe will begin to support what it is you are calling forth in your life. You will start to find ways to reach that new goal. Your mind will begin to seek out new opportunities to assist in getting you there.

You will discover new pathways to help get you to that place and it will create a burning desire that leads you.

But you have to be consistent to the practice of it. You can’t just do it a few times and expect everything to shift. You must focus your attention on the practice of it and consciously create the actions for you to get the desired results.

If you are challenged in any area or if there is something you are trying to breakthrough, begin to say it as if it is so. By using the power of affirmations, you can see how those focused areas of your life begin to change.

I promise you, if you commit to it, the results will astonish you.

The Power of Being Good To Your Inner Self

The Power of Being Good To Your Inner Self

We are often our harshest critics. We judge ourselves based on the things we do, the things we don’t do and all the things we still have yet to do.

And although it’s a great skill to self evaluate, if you don’t do it in the most loving way, instead of building yourself up, you’ll be part of tearing your spirit down.

Dr. Maya Angelou said, “when you know better, you do better.”

Instead of beating yourself over the head and absorbing a ton of negative energy in the process – how about taking some time to first thank yourself for what you have accomplished, evaluate where you are, look at where you want to go and identify the gaps in between.

We all have areas of our lives we want to improve. We all have goals and ambitions we want to achieve. But hold yourself to them in the most caring way. Do not become one of the naysayers for your own life. Your desires and wishes cannot survive in that space. They cannot thrive in that space. They cannot even live in that space.

Being good to your inner self doesn’t mean that you are not a realist about where you are or where you may be at any given time. But what it does is identify the issues and looks at the holes and gaps necessary to be filled to get you to your desired end.

It is not going to happen overnight. To get to any destination, you must first take the necessary steps to get you there. You have to create a plan and execute it daily to make sure you’re on your way to your goal mark.

Get the support you need from wherever you need to get it to fill in the gaps to move your life forward, but do it in a loving way.

Because being good to your inner self shows others what you expect from them in the level of goodness they give to you.

The Power of the Practice of Gratitude

The Power of the Practice of Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the most important characteristics we can have as humans in this life.

It ignites the universe to know exactly where you are and where you are ready to go.

It is important to wake up every day and be grateful not just for the big things you may think of, but most importantly for the little things you may take for granted everyday.

Even when you feel as if gratitude is hard for you to find, keep searching for it. The seeds of it are all around you. I am a firm believer that when you change your focus things will begin to change.

When you have gratitude in the little things, you begin to look at and see the world and your life differently, from a different perspective.

Gratitude is an energy. It is a way of being.

When people are filled with gratitude, you can see it on them. They look different. They speak differently. They show up differently. There is just something from the inside that radiates on the outside.

As you begin to invite more gratitude into your life, what you will notice is that you will gain more things to be grateful for.

You will start to attract those things you have wanted and longed for.

What you focus on is what expands. Focusing on gratitude will attract even more gratitude into your life.

gratitude-list

Take a few minutes at the end of each day and make a list of 10 things you are grateful for.

You will see that as you begin to put this into practice, you will start to increase your gratitude muscle. You’ll begin to look at things differently and you’ll start to find more and more things in your world to be grateful for. Soon 10 will become the least amount of things you’ll think of to be grateful for.

The more you open yourself up to being grateful, the more the universe will open up to you. It all first begins with just a seed of gratitude!
