Life lately has been quite consuming. There are a lot of things going on these days. From churning out this blog 3 times a week to preparing for upcoming events, there are an abundance of things currently consuming my time.
One of the tasks I am working on is preparing for the next episode of Women on the Move (check your local listing). This upcoming show is going to be a great one. One of our featured guests is Sandra Ramos. Sandra started the first shelter for battered women and children in North America.
I am so very excited to share Sandra’s story with the world. I have known her for years and have seen the effects of the amazing work she does. It is a wonderful blessing to be able to share her story on the show.
October is domestic violence month. I will be hosting a domestic violence event on October 30th. You’ll learn more about the event next week. Sandra will be joining me and I will do an interview with her that evening.
I am also preparing to get back on the tour wagon. We are just a few weeks out from our next tour stop and I’m super excited to be back on the road to connect with so many of you from around the world! First tour stops are New York, Chicago and some cities in the sunshine state.
I recently headed out on a 7-hour road trip. One of my favorite things to do in the whole world is to have a road trip. Driving is one of my favorite activities to do. When I have time and I am well rested, there’s no place I’d rather be than driving on the open road.
Driving is so freeing to me. I can clear my mind from all of the daily occurrences that sometimes consume me.
Sometimes I drive while listening to audiobooks or personal development talks. Sometimes I’m blasting music that reflects my present mood. Sometimes I am spending hours on the phone talking to people that I don’t get a chance to talk to during my regularly scheduled days. And sometimes I am driving in complete silence. But no matter what I’m doing, just being on the open road always brings me joy.
Can’t wait until my next Life Lately post to share with you where I ended up on my driving journey.
